Unfortunately, Movies at the Greenspot's October screenings have been cancelled. 
We were counting on a little Indian Summer this year, but we got Jack Frost instead! 
Please be on the lookout for free community screenings in late spring and early summer 2012!

This week it is Apollo 13 since it was rained out last month. It starts promptly at 8pm. Please bring a radio if you have one to improve the sound. And of course, it's FREE!

As far as the other films.... the voting will end on Monday and we will announce the winners on Tuesday!

Movies at the Greenspot Returns to Downtown Winston-Salem


MOVIES AT THE GREENSPOT IS BACK!

The Movies at the Greenspot kick off will be next Friday, September 2, after the Gallery Hop. In honor of our nation's heroes and the last space shuttle launch, we will be showing APOLLO 13!

Then in October, the Sunday night films will all be voted on by YOU! CATEGORIES FOR THOSE TO COME SOON.

As always, movies are FREE! See you at the corner of 6th & Liberty Streets for the first showing.
- Remember to bring your FM radio and a chair or blanket :)

THE BIRDCAGE- AUGUST 1ST!

The Birdcage is this Sunday and boy, are we excited! No rain on the horizon yet so cross your fingers. Robin Williams, Hank Azaria, Gene Hackman, Nathan Lane.... In fact, the cast won the Screen Actors Guild Award for an Outstanding Performance by a Cast.


If you're unfamiliar, the general storyline is: A gay cabaret owner and his drag queen companion agree to put up a false straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancé's right-wing moralistic parents.

On another note, we are sorry about having had to reschedule Little Shop of Horrors due to weather BUT that's what prescheduled rain dates are for, thankfully enough!

I wouldn't go as far as to CONFIRM that Harrison Ford invaded Kernel Kustard to snag popcorn for Sunday BUT it's a rumor... Regardless, popcorn will be there FREE OF CHARGE. Hooray!

FATHER OF THE BRIDE on Father's Day!


Welcome back to Movies at the Greenspot!

Our first flick of the season is THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 20TH! In honor of Father's Day and because we all secretly (or not so secretly) love this film, FATHER OF THE BRIDE opens the 2010 season.




Movies starts at dark. Bring your radio and blanket or chair. Drinks will be sold. Weather-induced cancellations will be called by 6PM.
